CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, Oct. 31, 2026 — The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Frost Advisory for mainland Cape May County from midnight tonight to 8 a.m. Sunday, with temperatures as low as 34 degrees expected.

Frost could harm sensitive outdoor plants, and plants left uncovered may be killed, the weather service says. It advises taking steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

The advisory covers the county's mainland, including Dennis, Middle and Upper townships, Woodbine, and the Villas and Erma sections of Lower Township. Cape May, West Cape May, the Cold Spring area and the barrier islands are in the weather service's coastal forecast zone and are not under the advisory.

In the weather service's hourly forecast, Woodbine bottoms out near 35 degrees and Cape May Court House near 37 around 7 a.m. Sunday, while Cape May stays in the low to mid 40s.

Trick-or-treaters on the mainland can expect temperatures in the low to mid 50s around 6 and 7 p.m., falling into the 40s by 8 p.m., according to the forecast.

The advisory runs past the end of daylight saving time. Clocks fall back an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, so it ends at 8 a.m. standard time.
