CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, Nov. 3, 2026 — Democrats will win control of the U.S. House of Representatives, CNN projected Tuesday night.
A party needs 218 of the chamber's 435 seats for a majority. Results in individual races are still being counted.
In the 2nd District, which includes all of Cape May County, Democrat Zack Mullock led Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew, 101,820 to 90,734, with 332 of 554 voting districts reporting as of 10:09 p.m., according to unofficial county results. Independent Ramon Mora Jr. had 1,899 votes.
In Cape May County, Van Drew led Mullock, 19,297 to 16,090, with 104 of 127 districts reporting.
