CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, Nov. 3, 2026 — Polls closed at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Cape May County, and election workers are counting ballots in races for U.S. Senate, the 2nd District House seat, sheriff and two county commissioner seats, along with contested local races in seven municipalities.
The county had not posted any results as of 8:05 p.m.
Cape May Scanner will post unofficial results for every race in the county, municipality by municipality, as the county reports them. The page updates on its own.
Results on election night are unofficial. A mail-in ballot postmarked by 8 p.m. Tuesday still counts if it reaches the Board of Elections by Nov. 9, according to the New Jersey Division of Elections, so totals can change in the days after the election.
Polling places and the full list of races are in our Election Day guide.
