CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, Nov. 3, 2026 — Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew conceded to Democrat Zack Mullock in New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District on Tuesday night, telling supporters that Mullock "is and will be our new congressman for the next two years," 6abc reports.

Van Drew said he had called Mullock about 10 minutes before he spoke, at about 10:30 p.m. The Associated Press had not declared a winner when he conceded, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

With 470 of 561 voting districts reporting at 10:57 p.m., Mullock had 122,603 votes (51.6%) to Van Drew's 112,587 (47.4%), according to unofficial county results. Independent Ramon Mora Jr. had 2,474.

Van Drew carried Cape May County, 21,805 to 17,856, with all 127 districts reporting. Mullock, the mayor of Cape May, led in Atlantic, Cumberland and Gloucester counties.

Van Drew was seeking a fifth term. He was first elected to the House in 2018 as a Democrat and switched to the Republican Party in December 2019. Mullock won a four-way Democratic primary in June.

Results are unofficial. Provisional ballots and mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day that arrive by Nov. 9 are still to be counted, and the official count will be posted on or before Nov. 18, according to the Cape May County Board of Elections.

Cape May Scanner's full results are updated as each county reports.
