CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, Nov. 5, 2026 — Steady rain will spread across Cape May County overnight and continue through Friday, with 2 to 3 inches possible along the shore, including Cape May, the National Weather Service says. The heaviest rain is expected down the shore, with 1 to 2 inches farther inland.
A few showers are possible this evening before heavier rain arrives after midnight. The chance of rain is near 100% on Friday. A few rumbles of thunder are possible, though forecasters put the chance as low.
The rain should taper off Friday evening. It will fall over a long enough period that flooding is not a concern, and it comes after two to three weeks with little rain, the weather service says.
It stays unusually warm and humid until then, with lows tonight in the low 60s and highs Friday in the upper 60s. Cooler air follows. Saturday will be sunny but breezy, with highs in the low 60s and northwest wind gusts up to 30 mph. Sunday will be sunny, with highs near 60.
